Matinea

Rita and I decided to catch a movie today, it is raining low clouds and cool, perfect movie day. Have any of you been to a 1:00 movie? If not let me tell you who goes , Old People! That is who, a sign was put up outside the theatre which said "Depends not required but Encouraged". I felt like a teenager in there , so much that I couldn't keep my hands off the Lovely. Your faithful reporter turns 60 in a couple of days so that tells you the average age in there was 95 at least, no cellphones went off, although a constant hummm from several pacemakers was detected.  Now to put on my Movie Critic hat.  "the Judge" was Great, more than that, it was moving, funny, beautifully set in Indiana, and most of all the Acting, what the Hell can I say! Robert Freeking Duval!!! That  , my friends is enough to get me to watch most movies but throw in Robert Downy Jr. And it slam dunk, they were just showing off when casting Billy Bob Thorton as the opposing Attorney.  Yes the plot could be called  mildly predictable, but those actors are in a very small class of people who when on screen you can't take your eyes off them. Maybe it is because Duvall has always reminded me of the Laird Boys of my Dads generation, or the fact that when young he spent summers on a ranch 6 or 7 miles from where I live, my uncle Bob worked for the Prescott ranch who were related to Bobby as he was called back then. When asked if he remembered Duvall my uncle Bob grumbled "Yea he was a Candy Ass , couldn't ride worth shit".  I don't care if his ass was made of  Jelly Beans he holds an audience like no- other.  Go to this movie!

Afreta Zane till we meet again!

Pardon my German, did anyone watch the "American Horror Story" last night? Wow, what a show freaky for sure, over the top with sex and gore , of course, but the last five minutes will go down as top three performances ever by an actress. Not just tv but movies too. Jessica Lange is amazing, her career has spaned the gamet .I remember when the Lovely and I were dating and we were sitting in the Rudyard Theatre, not too sure which movie it was but she was on screen in a tight shot and she lifted off her top, full frontal nudity, Dave Warhank burst out with a OOOOHHH we all understood ,that was indeed Titilating. She was in many movies as a sensual being indeed, which makes these tv shows even more rewarding. I could be tarred and feathered for this but My take is she is better in these than Bryan Cranston in Breaking Bad!        Imagine my excitement when I opened the game camera to see 235 new photos, after switching the new memory stick I hurried home to look at the card, maybe Big Buck, how about some pheasants for sure my hope is to see a Wolf stagger thru the viewer some day. Put card in Laptop and as customary push a few buttons and......the screen says FORMAT THE CARD! Me being ex Military and all responded "Sir Yes Sir" following the commands on screen I soon was told the card was ERASED!  We will never know what was on that two week record of the paradise we call "The Creek".  I was furios    That is the last time I take marching orders from a computer, and if I ever get my hands on One Mr Bill Gates , I'm going Jihad on his Ass. Get some Rest!
