Mourning has broken
Received word about two weeks ago that my oldest brother Kenny, had fallen off a scaffolding some 35 feet, landing on a large mailbox. Breaking bones in his back and causing serious damage to head and brain. With medical treatment he lived two more weeks. I believe it had been 35 years since I had seen Kenny. Most of my memories of him are faded at best, he left home before finishing high school and never really stayed in touch a all. His was a life of conflict even at an early age he fought against authority, whether at home or in society. I am not a particularly religious man but you should know I do pray most nights. Asking for good health and safety for my family my request is for the ability to make "good decisions". Most of us are no more than a few bad decisions away from disaster, be it personal, financial, or other times in our everyday life when we can simply say yes when it should have been NO. I know that sounds simply to simple, but think about it if some of the choices Ken had made would have been better? We will be laying Bob Nordstrom to rest tomorrow, a good friend, a great guy.I had some great times with Nordy as have hundreds of people , anyone who was with Bob for minutes had a friend indeed. He will be missed by our little community, and by me, He was one of a kind. I will be looking for inspiration of a lighter view, but that's it from here for now.
